30 Day Idol Challenge, Day 03 – I’m a Guy. And My Girlfriend is…
Hi there. I missed a day because there’s this big post I’m… oh, we’ll get there eventually. But today’s challenge is “If you were a guy, who would be your girlfriend?” Finally a challenge I can easily write about without bending the rules (day 1) or trying to avoid the subject entirely (day 2)!
To make things more realistic (yeah, right…) instead of just pointing to my Top 10 ranking and leaving you with “Obviously my girlfriend is the first one”, I’ll take other factors into consideration. Girlfriends are not idols – not only must I consider who is the cutest or has the most interesting personalities, but also how compatible that personality is and there should be some common interests too. Meaning: no baka characters, no lolis, no annoying cuteness, and no one who only posts about their nails. The choice is not too difficult though, one name comes to mind, with only two other candidates I can think of*… But the winner is:
Hata Sawako
Here’s an idol who writes long posts with difficult kanji, carries around half a dozen PSPs to play multiple games efficiently without having to change discs, and is terrified of public speaking and cameras – unless someone else happens to introduce a topic (Takarazuka) she’s passionate about, at which point her behavior changes completely. In other words, a female version of myself, plus the wonderful kanji-reading superpower. Our children will be brilliant and pathologically shy.
And the best of all is, all the preparation I need to strike a conversation with her is clear: read up on Takarazuka history. Not bad at all, since I already like musicals, and I’m interested in knowing more about them since all the way back when they collaborated with Momusu in Ribbon no Kishi. Which was awesome. I can get into this stuff.
(By the way, she doesn’t appear on my Top 10 because I didn’t know her at the time. I should really update that…)

What a respectable reason for your choice. You’ve got me interested in her now. Love the gamers! Also, I know how annoying kanji is, so serious props to this cutiepie.
Haha, really? Sawako? Nice. At first I liked her a lot but as I saw her more often I grew a bit creeped out. Kimochi waruiiii status. But she has an awesome personality and when writing something regarding relationship material, its important that personality be given lots of attention.
I really enjoyed this post because I got more insight into your personality, as well your taste in women. Honestly, I’d pay to watch you and Sawako date. If you’re really as shy as she is, watching you two fumble conversation would be adorable. I’d probably end up getting pissed off listening to a conversation that progresses so slowly. But it would be a sight and worth it regardless.
Sawako is thinks its troublesome to switch the games out, but its not troublesome to carry around 10,000 PSPs in her bag.. lol that always got me.
I don’t think I could write something like this because its really difficult for me to seperate what’s in the best interests for a relationship and whats in the best interest for my what’s in my pants.
But I have writen something to this effect before, where I dubbed Sashihara Rino as my “dream girl”. I’m also very found of Sato Amina, Sato Sumire and Kitahara Rie. But I find that whenever I’m closest to finalizing a decision in regards to “favorite”, it becomes all the more difficult. Especially since girls creep on me easily.. sometimes a member wont even be in my radar, next day they’re all I’m thinking about. Like Kobayashi Kana… get out of my mind!!!
Everytime you post one of these I think about whether I could come up with an answer myself. You said you twisted the rules the first time and avoided the subject the 2nd, but at least you’re able to get your feelings in check and actually construct these posts. I’m sure most of us couldn’t! lol
lol, you forgot to say why is it that she now creeps you out =P I think personality would be the thing to creep someone out, but you say she has an awesome one…
Insight on my personality? Have you seen The Big Bang Theory? I’m Sheldon, only frustrated by having a not so higher than average IQ, and by having enough social ability to know when what I’m about to say is inadequate, but not enough to be fully functional. Insight on my taste in women? Beautiful and smart. I mean, what else is there?

The idea about the bag is that, you’d have to carry your bag around anyway, so it doesn’t matter whether it has only one or ten PSPs at a time, as long as there’s enough space in it to carry everything else. On the other hand, you constantly have to change the discs. See what I meant by compatible personality? We already understand each other.
It’s not that difficult to write this. Just think you’ll live with someone for a very long time, and she should be hopefully better than tolerable. Make sure to consider what’d happen at all hours throughout the day, and remember that you’ll still be spending most of the night sleeping, so the day is very important indeed. I notice a lot of different idols all the time, but once in a while there’s something you just know is different. I clearly remember watching the Shuukan AKB exam episode when she was first “revealed” to the “not paying so much attention to SKE” public, and it was like my recent post on Ikuta Erika. She was favorite instantly and if I had a blog going back then, I’d do an immediate post for her too.
Come on, anyone can write these posts. They were all over IntlWota ages ago, and there’s one more blogger doing it right now.
